Happening Now: #Cameroon Guns Down 15 #BokoHaram Members After Early Morning Attack

At least 15 Boko Haram members were killed in Cameroon’s far north on Monday morning following an attack by about 50 insurgents, a report said.

Local newspaper, L’Oeil du Sahel, said at least two militants have been captured by the population at Achigachia area where the terrorists were stopped and the Cameroonian army was after the fleeing ones.

On Sunday, Boko Haram suicide bombers killed three persons in the Lake Chad region and injured 56, a day after the terrorists killed close to 70 people in Dalori, a Village near Nigeria’s city of Maiduguri.

Last Monday, Boko Haram attacked Bodo in Cameroon’s far north and killed at least 37 people. Days after, the militants killed several people at a school in Kerawa also in northern Cameroon.

The government said Boko Haram has killed more 1200 Cameroonians since 2013, including 67 soldiers and a policeman. In Nigeria, more than 25,000 people have been murdered since 2009 while 2.5 million others have been displaced. Hundreds of thousands of children have also been driven out of school.

With all that, President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria where the terrorists are based in the Sambisa forest called on Nigerians to be vigilant and own the war on terror. Buhari said it was he belief that Boko Haram was now weakened and has resorted to hit and run attacks. But those hit and run attacks have killed hundreds of people within the last one week.
