An explosion has been reported in the Central Bank of Nigeria building, along Calabar Road, Calabar, Cross River state, around 12:30pm on Friday.
According to reports, a gas explosion was recorded at a section of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, office in Calabar, the Cross River state capital, which is under construction.
Spokesman to the CBN, Isaac Okorafor, who confirmed this, disclosed that no death was recorded from the incident, adding that the resultant fire has been successfully put out.
