The Supreme Court of Nigeria has removed Stella Oduah and Andy Uba of the Peoples Democratic Party as lawmakers representing Anambra State.
Today’s ruling by the nation’s apex court upheld an earlier decision by Justice Chukwu of the Federal High Court laying out the proper procedures for selection of the PDP’s legislative candidates.
Oduah represented Anambra North Senatorial District, while Uba represented Anambra South Senatorial District.
Both Oduah and Uba were elected on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP. With the latest rulings, PDP no longer have any senator from Anambra State.
From todays decision by the Supreme Court, there is no senator representing Anambra State of the floor of the senate.
You may recall that the apex court had earlier sacked Uche Ekwunife, also elected on the platform of the PDP.
