Guinness Appoint Former Minister, Omobola Johnson Director

Guinness Nigeria Plc has appointed former Minister for Communications Dr. Omobola Johnson as a director of the company. The company confirmed this through a press release sent to the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

Dr Johnson who served in the Government of Goodluck Jonathan until May 2015 is a partner with a Venture Capital firm called TL Com Capital. The company invests in tech companies in sub Saharan Africa.

Guinness released its half-year to December 2015 results showing pre-tax profits dropped 65% to N1.7 billion. The company also last year appointed a new Managing Director.
