Nigerian Stocks Start The Week On A High

Nigerian stocks started the week on a positive note as the All Share Index(ASI) appreciated by 0.56% to close at 24,827.50.

Banking stocks were the most traded today, as a total of seven (7) banks made up the list of the most traded stocks on the exchange. Investors bought 140,800,956 units of Zenith bank shares, 23,187,836 units of GTB, 21,364,783 units of Fidelity bank, and 15,280,442 of UBA shares.

Here are the top 10 gainers for the day;

CUTIX PAINTS opened at N1.44 and closed at N1.51 gaining 4.86%

AFRIPUD opened at N2.47 and closed at N2.58 gaining 4.45%

NPFMCRFBK opened at N0.99 and closed at N1.03 gaining 4.04%

DANGCEM opened at N146.50 and closed at N151.99 gaining 3.75%

SEPLAT opened at N252.11 and closed at N261.31 gaining 3.65%

VITAFOAM opened at N4.54 and closed at N4.69 gaining 3.30%

FIDELITYBANK opened at N1.23 and closed at N1.27 gaining 3.25%

AIICO opened at N0.83 and closed at N0.85 gaining 2.41%

SKYEBANK opened at N1.12 and closed at N1.14 gaining 1.79%

UBA opened at N2.91 and closed at N2.95 gaining 1.37%

Here are the top 10 losers for the day;

TIGERBRANDS opened at N1.20 and closed at N1.14 losing 5%

INTBREW opened at N20.14 and closed at N19.14 losing 4.97%

CONOIL opened at N18.33 and closed at N17.42 losing 4.96%

ZENITHBANK opened at N12.20 and closed at N11.60 losing 4.92%

LEARNAFRICA opened at N0.90 and closed at N0.86 losing 4.44%

UNITYBANK opened at N0.68 and closed at N0.65 losing 4.41%

FBNH opened at N3.93 and closed at N3.77 losing 4.07%

HONYFLOUR opened at N1.49 and closed at N1.43 losing 4.03%

NESTLE opened at N695 and closed at N670 losing 3.60%

DANGSUGAR opened at N5.70 and closed at N5.53 losing 2.98%
