Kano State Governor, Mr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has lost his mother, Hajiya Fadimatu Umaru Ganduje, the government and family said in a statement. She was 95. She passed on at about 7am on Friday in Kano.
The deceased is survived by six children among whom are Alhaji Sama’ila Umar, the Madaki of Ganduje, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Gov. of Kano State and Alhaji Hussaini Umar Ganduje, the Executive Secretary of Kano State Teachers Board among others.
“She will be buried at Ganduje town by 2.00pm after Friday prayers. May the Al-Jannatul Firdausi be her final abode”, said Alhaji Sama’ila Umar, the Madakin Ganduje.
