Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced that its Seme-Badagry Area Command made N 1.072 billion for the Federal Government in the month of February.
Customs Area Controller, Seme Border command, Dimka Victor warned illegal smugglers that it wont be business as usual,any who is one is found culpable of trying to smuggle any commodity will be dealt with, he also revealed plans for re-strategizing and restructuring the command in order to meet its target.
According to Dimka, “Seme must get it right.”
“It is easy to attain success, but not easy to maintain success; therefore all hands must be on deck to maintain and exceed the current record.”
A research from the command data base shows that, the revenue collected for the month exceeded the N899,800,250.76 collected within the same period in 2015, representing N172,684,212.06 excess collection.
