If all indications are right, an American firm is set to construct a $50 million modular refinery in Nigeria. This will be situated in Koko, Warri North Local government Area of Delta State.

Chairman of the Delta State chapter of the Host Communities of Nigeria (HOSTCOM), Comrade Benjamin Iwetan made this disclosure earlier this week while addressing Itsekiri youths and other stakeholders from various communities at the instance of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli.

The Warri Monarch advised the youth against restiveness and requested for their support in actualizing this feat.

It is of common knowledge that youth from the Niger Delta communities scare away local and foreign investors from their communities by either kidnapping expartrates and demanding for outrageous ransoms, or imposing a huge number of unserious and lazy workers from the host community into the workforce of the project, thereby achieving little of less productivity.

According to the monarch, this practice must stop in order to bring about lasting and meaningful development to its various communities.

Iwetan said with the coming of this major investment in Warri, specifically on a 600 acres of land already provided for, it will provide jobs for thousands of Itsekiris and other Deltans in search of jobs.
