Lagos State Government on Monday, engaged an additional 1,200 primary school teachers into its workforce.
The purpose of this exercise is to further boost the capacity in the state’s primary education system.
Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Oluremi Sopeyin, who represented the state Governonr, Akinwunmi Ambode, advised successful teachers to pick up their appointment letters.
The newly employed teachers had earlier been sent SMS messages, to pick up their letters of service at the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board.
According to Sopeyin, “Now you are to pick up your appointment letters, the service has a system which will definitely reward you for hard work, dedication and honesty,” he said.
The chairman stated that the successful teachers were appointed using the guidelines of transparent stages of examination processes of international standard, in order to get the best for the state primary school education system.
Sopeyin assured that the Lagos State Government would continue to do more for the purpose of providing quantitative and qualitative education in the state.
