Treasury Bills: CBN To Raise N1.07bn In Second Quarter

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will borrow as much as N1.07 trillion through the issuance of treasury bills in the second quarter (Q2) of the year.

N303.77 billion will be issued in the 91-day bill, N169.98 billion in the 182-day bill, while 599.63 billion Naira will be issued in the one-year bill between March 17 and June 2.

Meanwhile in the first quarter, (Q1) a total of N1.22 trillion was raised from sale of treasury bills.

The CBN says it will further raise N40bn at par in the local bond maturing in 2036; N40bn of the paper maturing in 2026 and N20bn of the debt maturing in 2020 respectively.
