Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria’s high flying President, will be travelling to China again next week for a four day visit, shortly after returning from the United States, online reports said on Sunday.
The visit between April 11 and April 15, reports said, will enable Mr. Buhari sign $3.5b loan for Nigeria railway.
President Buhari has been in the United States for a couple a days now for the Nuclear Security Summit.
Many Nigerians have branded the president “traveller-in-chief” because he has visited more countries in the world since he was sworn into office ten months ago than he has been to states in Nigeria.
The opposition governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, last week, branded Mr. Buhari’s many visits abroad as useless and needless and described the last one to the United States as “joke of the year “.
But Mr. Buhari’s officials have said that the President was travelling to bring in the change Nigerians expect.
