Mr. Acho Ihim, the Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, declared on Sunday that it was his encounter with Prophet T.B. Joshua and his visit to the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos in 2014 that eventually catapulted him to victory in 2015.
As a member of the Imo State House of Assembly, Mr. Ihim had visited T.B. Joshua’s church in 2014, shortly before the 2015 elections were to take place, SCOAN said on its Facebook page on Sunday.
“His intention in coming was that he wanted to know God’s opinion as to whether he should contest for a second tenure in his position as a member in the House of Assembly. His fear in running again was that most people in his constituency didn’t make it to their second tenure, which meant the odds were stacked against him,” The Ministry said on Facebook.
“He wanted to know whether he should retire or continue to contest for the position and eventually run for the Speaker of the House of Assembly.
“Coming to The SCOAN was his only option to discover God’s opinion about what he should do. While he was at The SCOAN, he presented his case to the man of God. To his surprise, the man of God said that he would win this election and gave him the Morning Water.
“Upon getting home, he began to minister the Morning Water and with confidence he went for the election, running for his second tenure in the office as a member of the House of Assembly.
“Miraculously, as was prophesied by the man of God, he won the election with an enormous lead. As he continued to minister the Morning Water, he contested for the position of the Speaker of the House of Assembly.
“By the grace of God, he won the election and is now the Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly! His advice to the congregation was that people should seek God’s opinion before they do things in life,” T.B. Joshua’s church said.
