Tough To Swallow: Michigan Gov. Snyder Says “Will Drink Flint Water For At Least 30 Days”

In an effort to atone for the fact that he knew residents of Flint, Michigan were drinking water contaminated with dangerous levels of lead long before publicly admitting a problem, Governor Rick Snyder says he will be drinking Flint tap water for the next 30 days to prove to everyone the water is now safe to drink.

“I completely understand why some Flint residents are hesitant to drink the water and I am hopeful I can alleviate some of the skepticism and mistrust by putting words to action,” Snyder said in a statement.

Flint residents made it clear that they would like to see me personally drink the water, so today I am fulfilling that request. And I will continue drinking Flint water at work and at home for at least 30 days.

Wink wink.

Well, at least it is one step further than the Monsanto lobbyist was willing to go after he proclaimed that the chemical in Roundup weed killer was safe for humans to drink.

Or perhaps Rick Snyder is “stupid”-er than a Monsanto lobbyist?
