Inflation Rate Slows to 4.5% in Namibia

The annual inflation rate in Namibia softened for the second month to 4.5% in March 2024, according to statistics office, the lowest in eight months, compared with February’s reading of 5%. Naira Slides as Nigerians Import Appetite Rises

Prices increased at a slower pace for some consumer price index (CPI) categories, such as food & non-alcoholic beverages (4.9% vs 5.8% in February); transportation (4.3% vs 6.5%); recreation & culture (9.6% vs 10.7%); alcoholic beverages & tobacco (6.8% vs 7.1%).
