Chelsea Beat Hull City 4-0 to Victory
In an electrifying display of football prowess, Chelsea thrashed Hull City with a 4- 0 win in the 4th Round of the Emirates FA Cup at KCOM Stadium on Friday.
After a cagey start to the game on Humberside, Neto opened the scoring shortly before half-time and would go on to take home the match ball after netting twice in the second period.
The match, which took place on the evening of February 13, 2026, saw Chelsea demonstrate their superiority through high possession and clinical finishing.
Chelsea opened the scoring in the 40th minute through Pedro Neto, who delivered a spectacular left-footed strike from outside the box, finding the bottom right corner.
The assist was provided by Liam Delap, marking the beginning of a dominant performance by the Blues. The team’s momentum continued into the second half, with Jorrel Hato doubling the lead in the 51st minute with a precise header following a corner.
The goals didn’t stop there. Estêvão added a third in the 59th minute with a powerful shot from the middle of the box, and Pedro Neto completed his brace in the 71st minute, rounding off a commanding performance.
Notably, Liam Delap proved instrumental, contributing assists for three of the four goals, showing his playmaking skills.
Hull City struggled to find their rhythm, managing only 23% possession and two shots on target compared to Chelsea’s 77% possession and eight on target.
The match statistics highlighted Chelsea’s attacking prowess and defensive solidity, leaving Hull City with few opportunities to alter the course of the game.
Chelsea enjoyed a fast start and should have led when Mamadou Sarr’s long ball picked out Estevao, but after rounding Dillon Phillips, he fired over the net on his left foot.
Phillips then saw his attempted clearance cannon off Liam Delap and onto the crossbar, but the Hull City goalkeeper did well to deny the Chelsea number nine, who thought the ball had crossed the line, on the rebound.
But the visitors took the lead five minutes before the break through Neto, who brilliantly picked out the bottom-right corner from the edge of the box after being teed up by Delap.
Chelsea started the second half quickly as Andrey Santos’ header was tipped over by Phillips, and from the resulting corner, Neto’s teasing delivery sailed all the way in to put the Blues two goals to the good in the 51st minute.
The Blues have now won the joint most games of any side in Europe’s top-five leagues in all competitions (eight in 11 games) since Rosenior replaced Enzo Maresca, and his team was worthy of their win here, after registering an expected goals (xG) total of 1.68 from 13 shots to Hull’s 0.87 from 10 attempts.
