“Passengers scheduled for two Arik Air flights from Benin have revolted this evening.
“Many passengers arrived at the airport expecting to board their flights, 4.30 pm to Abuja and 5pm to Lagos, only to be told that there was no fuel.
“Shortly after, they were checked in. About 6pm, word spread that two planes on the tarmac had been chattered by staff of Dangote Cement who were returning from a ground breaking ceremony, and this led to a full scale revolt as passengers had been led to believe that both aircraft were meant to take them.
“All Arik staff at the airport have checked out”.
